FORD: 1994-95 PROBE/CONTOUR/MYSTIQUE
The HOLD(Mazda) or O/D(Ford) light will flash if transmission related trouble codes are being stored. The EEC IV connector is located in front of the battery on the driver side of the vehicle (See Figure 1). To retrieve trouble codes, a scan tool must be used on the EEC IV connector. NOTE: On MAZDA vehicles it may be necessary to enter FORD V.I.N. Numbers in order to access trouble codes. Enter the V.I.N. Letters “T” for the 5th digit, “A” for the 8th digit, and “R” for the 10th digit, in that order, when obtaining codes from a MAZDA.
